Indrones: Defending India with Innovation at Every Altitude

Introduction
Over the past decade, Indrones has emerged as a cornerstone in India’s evolving aerial intelligence ecosystem. What began as an ambitious vision to integrate unmanned aerial platforms into enterprise and governance has today evolved into a full-spectrum capability provider, from hardware for military drones to AI-driven data interpretation.
Our enduring focus on computer vision, high-resolution imaging, real-time ranging and tracking, edge computing, and indigenously trained AI models is now central to both national development and national security.
Military drones have shifted from simple tools to key players in combat and strategic operations, as it was seen in the recent events between India & Pakistan and the operation sindoor. At Indrones, we believe that aerial intelligence is not just a technological asset — it is a strategic imperative.
Nation First: Strengthening India’s Defense Capabilities
INS Vikrant: Enhancing Flight Operations Through Indigenous Innovation
India’s first indigenously built aircraft carrier (see figure 1.1), INS Vikrant, represents the pride and self-reliance of our defense sector. We are honoured to contribute to this historic platform through the development of a vision-based AI solution to assist aircraft take-off and landing operations.
This indigenously developed system performs accurate autonomous tracking, ranging, glide-path estimation, and AI analytics, enabling greater safety aboard one of the most complex and dynamic environments in modern naval warfare.
Developed under India’s defense indigenisation initiative, our technology showcases what’s possible when homegrown AI, sensor fusion, and real-time decision systems are applied to mission-critical environments.

ISR Drones for Tactical Surveillance
We have also supplied a fleet of ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) drones equipped with optical zoom and thermal vision. These UAVs have been deployed in support of defense and homeland security operations, delivering actionable intelligence in real time across high-risk zones and remote geographies
Each unit processes video feeds onboard, leveraging AI-enabled object detection models to identify human movement, vehicles, or thermal anomalies with precision, day or night. Whether deployed for border surveillance, missions like Operation Sindoor, or critical infrastructure protection, these ISR platforms reduce risk to personnel while multiplying strategic oversight, aligning with our military’s evolving needs.

A seamless eigenspace framework enables integration with every tactical UAV, streamlining defense operations (see figure 1.2). For ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) missions, SAR (Search and Rescue) operations, or threat tracking, the system enhances coordination across swarm operations and battlefield mapping. With advanced fleet management, UAVs function with heightened efficiency, supporting high-stakes missions.
Civilian Impact with Strategic Value: Svamitva Yojana
Our commitment to national service goes beyond defense.
As a key technology partner in the Svamitva Yojana — the Government of India’s initiative to map rural inhabited lands using drones — Indrones has played a pivotal role in generating high-resolution land records for thousands of Indian villages. As a part of Rapid Ground Truthing, drones were used for surveys to produce accurate cadastral maps.
We’ve helped empower rural citizens with property ownership documents, enhancing governance, enabling land monetisation, and fostering economic inclusion

From mapping the final contours of a Himalayan border outpost to drawing property lines in remote villages, our technology scales with both precision and purpose.
Operation Sindoor: A Wake-Up Call for Indigenous Readiness
The recent events surrounding Operation Sindoor serve as a stark reminder of the rising geopolitical risks in our region. It also affirms the critical role unmanned systems must play in securing India’s defense posture. Whether it was AI-enabled drone swarms (see figure 1.4), high-end loitering munitions, or advanced ISR assets, the operation reflected a technological pivot in how modern militaries project power and secure borders.

At Indrones, we see this not as a challenge, but a responsibility — to accelerate our work with defense agencies and ensure that India’s armed forces are equipped with the most capable, indigenously developed aerial technologies.
A Decade of R&D, A Future of National Impact
Indrones’ success lies in long-term investments in vision AI, edge compute architectures, sensor calibration, and real-world dataset training. Over 10 years, we’ve developed and refined proprietary models tuned for Indian conditions — from jungle terrains to snow-bound heights, from dense urban sprawls to maritime operations.
Every frame captured by our drones contributes to a more informed, secure, and sovereign India.
